“As a management, we have spoken about my bowling and I have put in a lot of work. Now, we have Naman Dhir in team, and he is bowling well, so re hasn't been much need for me to bowl. However, I continue to practise behind scenes. I am confident that I will bowl whenever I get opportunity. At moment, Naman Dhir is doing a good job with ball in T20 cricket.”

New Zealand head coach Rob Walter on injuries to Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry:

“We're gutted for Lockie and Matt. Injuries are part and parcel of international cricket, but that doesn't make missing games any easier. Fortunately, Matt was already expected to sit out remaining T20Is with his busy summer schedule in mind, and we hope he will still play an important role in ODIs. I know Lockie was excited about playing in front of a sold-out home crowd at Eden Park, but he is determined to return for ODI series.”
